Minimum age to book

To make a booking/enter into an agreement with us, you must be 18 years of age or older. Identification may be required at check-in.

Booking / payment

When you make a booking, a written booking confirmation will be sent to you by email. The booking becomes binding once you have paid the booking fee or the full rental amount. The booking fee must be paid before the confirmation is sent.

Cancellation

You can cancel in writing to [email protected] or by phone at +358 457 3455 444.
A cancellation is not valid if it is made through anyone else.

  • If you cancel more than 3 days before arrival, the total rental amount will be refunded, minus a 1.5% transaction fee.
  • If the booking is cancelled 3 days before arrival, 50% of the total rental amount will be refunded, minus a 1.5% transaction fee.

If no cancellation is made and the booked accommodation is not used by the guest, Klobbars Guesthouse and Cottages is entitled to charge the full booking amount. Changes that involve a different date or accommodation are considered a cancellation and a new booking.

Cancellation protection

Cancellation with a 100% refund of the rental amount if any of the events listed below have occurred.

  • Death, serious illness, or a serious accident affecting you, your spouse, partner, your (or your spouse’s/partner’s) parents, children, siblings, or a travel companion.
  • Another serious event occurs beyond your control—such as a major fire or flooding in your home—which makes it unreasonable to expect you to proceed with your booking.
  • A call-up to military service or civil defence.

You must be able to document the reason for your cancellation with a certificate from a doctor, an authority, or an insurance company. Certificates submitted later than seven (7) days after the cancellation date will not be accepted.

Check-in / check-out times

Check-in time is 14:00 and check-out time is no later than 11:00, unless otherwise agreed.

 

Insurance

You are responsible for arranging the insurance coverage you consider necessary, such as liability, accident, and travel luggage insurance.

Klobbars Guesthouse and Cabins’ liability

Klobbars Guesthouse and Cabins is liable for damage caused to you through proven negligence by Klobbars Guesthouse and Cabins in the course of its service duties. Klobbars Guesthouse and Cabins is not liable for damage caused by third parties or other guests, nor for damage outside Klobbars Guesthouse and Cabins’ control.

Complaints / claims

If the rented accommodation does not meet the promised standard, we ask that you report it within 24 hours of arrival so that we have the opportunity to put it right. Any issues that arise during your stay should be reported as soon as possible.

The main purpose of processing your personal data is to be able to handle your cottage booking.

We continuously improve and develop our services, products, and website, and the content of this privacy policy may therefore change over time. We will not reduce the rights you have under this privacy policy or applicable data protection laws in Finland and the EU.
